Your privacy matters to us, especially because ID cards are some of the most sensitive documents you own. This Privacy Policy explains what Merge ID Card does and does not collect, how we use information, and what choices you have.

In short: the images you use in our tools are processed inside your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.

1. Who We Are

Merge ID Card is an independent website founded and run by Muhammad Shakeel Khan. It offers free online tools for merging, resizing, protecting and converting ID card and document images.

2. Your ID Cards and Images

All of our tools, including the ID card merger, ID Watermark, Blur / Mask ID, ID Resizer, ID Card to PDF, Passport Photo Grid, Document Enhancer, Image to PDF and Image Compressor, work locally in your web browser.

  • The images you select are not uploaded to our servers.
  • We cannot see, access or store your ID cards, photos or merged files.
  • Your files are held in your browser’s memory only while you use the tool. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.
  • The files you download are saved on your own device, and you control where they go.

Because we never receive your documents, we cannot recover, share or delete them for you.

3. Information We May Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or address to use the tools. However, some information may be collected automatically or when you contact us:

Usage and device information. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, pages visited, time spent on pages and the website that referred you. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used, fix problems and improve performance.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the site. Please do not send photos of your ID card or other personal documents by email.

We use the limited information above to:

8. Data Retention and Security

Since your documents are not sent to us, there are no ID files for us to keep. Messages you email us are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of support requests. We use reasonable technical measures to protect the website, but no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

Merge ID Card is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict certain uses
  • Withdraw consent you have given

11. Safe Sharing of Your ID

Even with a private tool, your ID copy is sensitive once it leaves your device. We suggest you:

  • Share it only with trusted organisations that genuinely need it
  • Add a watermark stating the purpose and date, for example “For bank account opening only, 30 Sep 2026”
  • Hide any details that are not required
  • Avoid sending it through public or unsecured networks

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check it occasionally. Continuing to use the website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
